1.A Morning Surprise
Barnaby Bear woke up with a wide yawn in his cozy den. He opened his mouth to give a big, loud roar, but only a tiny squeak came out.
Barnaby padded out of his den, his paws making soft thumps on the forest floor. He felt a little bit sad because his roar was missing.
He met Freddy Fox, who was busy chasing his own bushy tail. 'Freddy,' Barnaby whispered, 'I lost my roar!' Freddy smiled and wagged his tail.
Barnaby and Freddy walked together through the rustling leaves. They looked under every branch, trying to solve the puzzle of the missing roar.
They saw Beatrice Butterfly fluttering by. 'Beatrice,' Barnaby squeaked, 'my roar is gone!' Beatrice flew down to help them search.
The three friends searched high and low. They peeked behind the mossy rocks and looked under the big, round mushrooms.
Suddenly, Barnaby heard a faint sound. 'Rumble, rumble.' It was coming from inside a small, cozy hollow log nearby.
Barnaby peeked inside. There was a tiny baby hedgehog snoring softly. And right next to him was a shimmering golden cloud—Barnaby's roar!
Barnaby gently nudged his roar. The shimmering golden cloud stretched, gave a mighty rumble, and jumped right back into Barnaby's mouth!
Barnaby felt so happy! He stood up tall and gave a great big ROAR! The entire forest echoed with his joyful, loud sound.
