High in the big blue sky, there lived a tiny cloud who was soft and fluffy like a cotton ball. While all the other clouds giggled and made rain go pitter-patter, this Little Cloud tried and tried to cry, puffing itself up big and round, but no rain came out.

The Little Cloud felt sad watching the thirsty flowers and birds below looking for puddles. "I wish I could help them," it whispered, wiggling its edges and squeezing its middle tight, but still, not a single drop fell.

Suddenly, a wise old Sunbeam noticed the frown and asked, "Why the long face?" When the cloud explained it could not make rain to help the flowers, the Sunbeam smiled a gentle, warm smile.

"You don't have to make rain to help," the Sunbeam twinkled, shining its warmest light to make the cloud glow a beautiful soft white. The flowers below smiled at the gentle warmth, and the Little Cloud floated on, feeling perfectly wonderful.
