High in the sky lived Nimbus, a soft, white cloud. Other clouds loved to rain for puddles and flowers, but Nimbus couldn't. He tried to puff himself up big and round, but no raindrops came out.

One sunny afternoon, a little girl named Lily looked up. "Hello, little cloud!" she called, waving. Nimbus waved back with a gentle sway. Lily giggled, "You look so happy!" Nimbus felt a little sad, wishing he could rain for Lily.

Suddenly, a warm breeze tickled Nimbus. He wiggled and jiggled with surprise. A tiny, happy tear rolled down his cheek, then another! Plink! Plink! Little sparkly dewdrops fell. Lily clapped her hands, "Oh, thank you, Nimbus! Your happy tears are so pretty!"

Nimbus felt so happy that he wiggled again, sending more sparkly dewdrops down. The grass below glittered like diamonds. He realized he didn't need big tears to be a good cloud. His happy tears made Lily smile, and that made him the happiest cloud in the whole sky. From that day on, Nimbus didn't worry about not crying, knowing his special way of sharing joy was perfect.
